Travelling Teachers
Travelling Teachers Program. It is a program that helps our members and ultimately the CDAA in multiple ways.

Members are encouraged to teach classes or workshops in their area under this program and they benefit by having the opportunity to develop new workshops, expand on existing ones or simply try their hand at teaching for the first time.

Our members at large benefit by being able to take workshops/classes all year round at very reasonable prices. We offer a 2 day workshop/class for $90.00 .

Our goal is a minimum of 10 students per workshop/class. These need to be first offered in the instructor's area for the first 3 workshops/classes. When we have CDAA members who are far flung and are not easily able to travel to the more central areas to take workshops/classes they can request a particular Instructor to go to them and teach.

With the revenue that the CDAA makes from this program, these Instructors are then sent by the CDAA and their travel costs are paid for. The hosting Members are then responsible for the Instructor's housing and meals. This becomes a win, win, win situation. The Instructors get a fee for teaching, the Members get to take interesting workshops/classes and the CDAA benefits with the revenue that is then available to send the Instructors to other areas.

Newsletter
Keeping pace with technology, the CDAA produces a bi-monthly electronic newsletter designed to keep members in touch and up to date. Members are encouraged to submit articles on dolls they have made, shows they have been to, and techniques they have learned. Each issue is filled to the brim with wonderful photos of member's doll art. There are artist and event reviews, new member introductions, book reports, tips, and much more. It is a 'good read' in an afternoon with a cup of tea.

Back issues of past newsletters can be e-mailed on request to CDAA members. If you're interested in any past newsletter, or would like to contribute  to the Newsletter, please contact: cdaacommunications@gmail.com
