Membership in the Canadian Doll Artists Association is open to all individuals who make one-of-a-kind or limited-edition dolls using any one of a variety of mediums. Members are welcome regardless of their level of artistic or technical development.
In order to assist members and to provide mentoring services, each registering member must provide a description of their experience and supply at least one photograph that best represents their work.

Apprentice Membership
Apprentice Membership is open to any individual who is at least 18 years of age who aspires to create one of a kind art dolls, and is seeking guidance and support within the association, to be mentored toward artist membership. They shall pay dues but do not exhibit at CDAA events, use the logo, vote or hold office. They shall become artist members by completing an original, one of a kind art doll.
Artist Membership
Artist Membership is open to any individual who is at least 18 years of age who creates one of a kind art dolls. The dolls being created by the artist and shown within the events and competitions of the association must be original works or art and must not, therefore, be an adaptation of the work of another artist, nor may they include a part or component that has been created by another artist. Those components would include but not be limited to: sculpted faces pressed from the mould of another artist, patterns created by another artist. Artist Members are authorized to use the CDAA logo symbol in conjunction with their name.
Master Membership
Master Membership is open to any individual who meets artist membership requirements and is entitled to all of the benefits outlined in Artist Membership, but who is considered at Master Status by having won any of the following awards, three times or more, in the previous 5 years: First Place Award, Best in Show, or People’s Choice award. A Master Member must declare this status if these wins were achieved from within competitions or events of the Canadian Doll Artists Association or from another recognised doll organization (such as NIADA or ODACA).
Patron Membership
Patron Membership is open to those who support the goals of the CDAA. They shall pay dues but do not exhibit, use the logo, vote or hold office.
