When did you begin making original one-of-a-kind dolls and why? Three years ago. I started to make original one-of-a-kind dolls, because I wanted to develop my own style and make dolls totally different from anyone else's.
What types/styles of dolls do you make? Cloth Dolls in Fantasy style. Although, thanks to teachers like Kate Church, Ankie Daanen, Marlaine Verhelst and Diane Keeler, I will work towards developing clay/sculpy figures.
What media(s) do you use?: Cloth, Wire
What do you consider to be "special" about your dolls? To me they are special because they come from my own imagination. They are rarely, if ever influenced by someone else's imagination.
What are your goals as a doll maker? My goals are to continually improve my technique, style and form. I truly believe that the minute I think I know it all, my goal will become unattainable.
Tell a little about yourself? Married for 38 years to Bob, the greatest guy in the world. Proud Mum of two grown daughters. Completely owned by two parrots Mushu and Cromwell and formally owned by, Monty - the biggest 'little' dog who ever lived.
Former, high tech executive and quilt store owner. Now semi-retired and running a web based business. My main hobby is sewing, which helps in costuming my dolls. I also quilt, but not nearly as much as I used to.
I enjoy meeting new people and maintaining the strong friendships I have developed during my life.
