When/Why did you start making dolls? In 1990-1992 I started making life-sized figures to entertain my family. In 1993 a friend suggested I make doll figures so she could photograph them. She submitted photographs to Collectors Magazine and the Professional Dollmakers Guild invited me to come to New York for Toy Fair in 1993

When did you begin making original one-of-a-kind dolls, and why? After being critiqued at Toy Fair and a doll show in Santa Fe in 1993, I began making one-of-a-kind dolls for 1994 Toy Fair.

What type/style of dolls do you make? I make dolls using polymer clays. I also sculpt animals, children and adult dolls.

What media(s) do you use? Cloth

What do you consider to be "special" about your dolls? I like to tell a story with my dolls and usually I will include animals with my dolls. I also enjoy researching history behind some of the characters I am sculpting so i can become familiar with that period of time.

Tell a little about yourself: I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have a variety of animals that I enjoy. I enjoy vacationing and being with my family. I also enjoy going to my studio and creating dolls.

What are your goals as a doll maker? I enjoy going on artist retreats or attending classes of a doll artist because I have an opportunity to learn a new technique related to sculpting or costume designing.
