When/why did you start making dolls? I began making art dolls about three years ago. I am also a quilt artist and found that working with dolls allowed me to work more dimensionally then quilts.

When did you begin making original one-of-a-kind dolls, and why? I have always made originial dolls. I feel too restricted following someone else's pattern and much prefer to create something entirely from my imagination, there are no restrictions that way!

What type/style of dolls do you make? I make assemblage/mixed media type dolls. I often include a box along with the body and build from there. I like to use any and all materials that suit the doll's personality and purpose.

What media(s) do you use? Mixed media.

What do you consider to be “special” about your dolls? I think one aspect of my dolls that is special is that they incorporate so many different types of elements together. It is not unsual for me to use everything from metal, to yarn, to polymer clay, and fibers all in one doll.

What are your goals as a doll maker? To continue making dolls and growing as an artist.

Tell a little about yourself: I am a full time automtive engineer living in Michigan. I make art in every second of my free time!
